Science extends and enriches our lives. It is a way to better understand the world around us. The word science comes from the Latin "scientia," meaning knowledge. Science is a way to acquire knowledge through experiments and systems. Science is also defined as any knowledge gained by systems. A primary aim of science is to gain facts. After gaining facts it is then explained through tests and observations. A hypothesis is formulated based on observation and experimentation. There are many different fields in science. Some fields are biology, chemistry, and physics. Science is as simple as a cause and effect process.
Pseudoscience however is a false science. Many people today use horoscopes and palm readers to explain why things happen in their lives. But is there evidence to prove what they are saying and if it is true? Of course not, there might be signs and thoughts but there is no clear evidence. Pseuodscience is used to excite people and to soothe anxiety about life and its adventures.
Pseudoscience is more appealing to the general public rather than science alone. Although science is more factual than pseudoscience and can be backed by experiments pseudoscience seems more interesting. So the next time you read your horoscope think about what it is saying and if it is really true, or just a false science.

I agree with your last paragraph. It is very hard to distinguish a real science from a psuedoscience due to the fact that they have some kind of evidence supporting their claim, otherwise they would cease to exsist today. Sciences are very cut and dry, and pseudosciences do seem to have a little more gray area so to speak, but there must be some hidden truth their purpose. But then again, pseudoscience believers can find information in real sciences to poke holes into their beliefs as well.

I think your comparison was insightful. I liked how you related pseudoscience, which some people are unfamiliar with, into everyday terms to make an emotional connection to the reader. I mean, who hasn't read their horoscope at one point or another? So, I like how you challenged people to consider the science or lack of science behind the horoscope. You correctly described both, but also made it easy to read. I really liked it. Nice job!!!

nice work keri, yeah its true that way more people would rather listen to a pseudoscience rather that real science, but yeah i read horoscopes to sometimes idk theyre intersting just to see if there like right or something lol.

Nice work Ker. I definitely understood yours a lot easier than some. I agree with your paragraph on pseudosciences all the way, they are just a way to explain things that happen around them. Can't wait to read your next blog!!
I think you're completely right in saying that a lot of people think psuedosciences are more interesting. I would rather read a horoscope than a scientific experiment right up, and I think a lot of people would agree.
Jamie :)
great job keri. i liked that you called pseudoscience a "false science". don't know why, but really enjoyed that. I think it is because that is all that pseudoscience is . . . . .FALSE.

Very nice fella! Your information was easy to understand and I liked your ideas on pseudoscience. I agree with your last paragraph a lot, it is hard to figure out whether ppl are using science or not. Very well put :)

You said, "Pseudoscience is more appealing to the general public rather than science alone." I agree. Scientific studies are a bit tedious to read and I'm sure that many of the people do not understand scientific jargon. Psuedoscience are without fact. You must be careful about even studies that have been done. Many are bogus. Sources are non-existent or no empirical data is used. Great post!
